This week, the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is taking place in Las Vegas. There are several interesting innovations that we (as executives) could benefit from if / when they are released in the near future. I am planning to cover some of these in next week’s posts. However, for today, I thought you might get a kick out of seeing some of the fun products being shown.
According to the AP story Offbeat Items Brighten CES, here are some of the best fun products coming our way…
1. Sony’s Rolly. “The Rolly is an MP3 player the size and shape of a turkey egg. It rolls and spins around on the floor and blasts music out of two built-in stereo speakers, while flapping two speaker lids like it’s a cancan dancer with folding fans. Pulsing multicolored diodes complete the sensory experience.”
2. Taser International Inc. new stun gun models in “Fashion Pink” and a leopard print scheme.
3. Gibson Guitar Corp.’s Robot Guitar. “Like a good robot, the Robot Guitar takes care of the boring part of being a guitarist: the tuning.”
4. Liquid Image’s swimming mask with a 5 megapixel camera.
5. Versus Scoreboard. It’s a portable scorekeeper, a timekeeper, and an audio player for when you are playing hoops in the driveway.
6. Cruzin Cooler USA’s Cruzin Cooler. “It’s the world’s first motorized, rideable ice chest.”
