Easily check traffic conditions with Microsoft’s Live Search Maps
Filed Under Technology, Time Management, Travel
If you are like me and make it a high priority to avoid sitting in traffic, check out Microsoft’s Live Search Maps at http://maps.live.com/ and choose the “Check Traffic” option (left side menu). This will bring up a map of the USA with icons indicating the major cities with live traffic reports. You can then click on any icon to view traffic details for that city. Alternatively, you can enter the city and state into the search box (top left corner) to view traffic details for that city. The traffic details are clearly communicated by hazard icons for accidents, disabled vehicles, construction zones, severe weather, and major planned events such as concerts or football games, etc. In addition, frequent high traffic areas are highlighted either green (no delays), yellow (minor delays), or red (major delays).
I use this website before any trip I make into the city!
